ATHENS, the capital and cultural hub of Greece: 1 night

We’ll start our adventure in the heart of Athens, beneath the Acropolis at a 4-star boutique hotel within walking distance to restaurants and shops. On our first evening we will gather for a welcome dinner with an opportunity for everyone to get acquainted and to sample some traditional Greek “mezedes” and other local specialties at a nearby restaurant.

HYDRA, Saronic Island known as the Artists’ Muse: 6 nights

Morning transfer by minibus to the Piraeus, the port of Athens. Next travel by ferry (2 hours) through small islands and rock formations that conjure up images from myth and lore. Upon arrival we’ll walk to our hotel. There are no motor vehicles on the island; donkeys carry goods and supplies, and the luggage of visitors to their hotels. The narrow alleyways that make up the main town are adorned with colorful Bougainvillea and brightly painted doors. The island is known for its art galleries and quiet life-style making it the perfect place to unwind and get inspired. Upon arrival, enjoy a light lunch in our hotel’s courtyard. In the evening gather for a welcome dinner of local specialties. For the next days your senses will be titillated by the scenery, the food, and music. You’ll learn why Hydra is called the artists’ island.
